These are pretty cool as well. but I guess for you.. it will cover up the side skirt area and you will need alot of access to that.. Check out this vid how these work.

They would be good for a detailer.. but not too much mechanic work unless its brakes and suspension IMO. I would probably go for the scissor lift like you mentioned if I wanted it for detailing etc though.
